Handmade Wedding Invitations; Floral Share Six

The ruffles of carnations have a way of resembling beautiful ruffles on a wedding dress. I love how brides find inspiration in pretty things like flowers...even a ribbon can spur an idea and make the simplest and most beautiful wedding invitations. When brides don't know what they want, I come up with an inspiration panel for them...it's ridiculously fun to do. For this month's Share Six series, I wanted to share some recent wedding invitations I had been working on for a bride that were simply inspired by peach carnations. Carnations are one of my favorite flowers, so it was easy for me to make her simple "peach and burlap" themed cards. They are simple and flat with not-so-fancy wording. Our inspiration being the peach carnations, a cream ruffle and burlap with lace.
